Have Out of Town Friends with Multiples?
If you know parents of multiples around the country who don’t have a local club, encourage them to join us through our new Direct Membership. It’s our way of building our membership base and sharing all our great resources with parents who don’t have the support of a local club in their area. Questions? Email membership@multiplesofamerica.org.
Upcoming Great Expectations Multiplied Online Seminars
Mon., Sept 15 – The Day Has Arrived!
Are you getting ready for the birth of multiples? Looking for ways others can offer support during the birth and those first days home? In search of a few tips to help in supporting your babies if they need to be in the NICU? During this seminar, Twin Specialist Smadar Zmirin will offer information and takeaways specific to preparing for multiple parenthood, recovering from the birth, and navigating those first days home. Club leaders are also encouraged to join in the seminar for information and ideas to help in supporting or mentoring expectant parents and parents with newborn multiples.
Mon., Oct. 13 – Easing Into Multiple Parenthood & Transitioning from the NICU
What will it be like those first few months home with multiples? Will there be endless nights of never getting a wink of sleep? What will help smooth the transition home if my babies have been in the NICU? During this seminar, Twin Specialist Smadar Zmirin will help prepare expectant parents of twins for the ongoing multitasking, the logistics of caring for two (or more) babies at once, and optimizing the physical living environment to reduce anxiety, stress and unnecessary clutter.
Registration begins about four weeks before each event, and seminars begin at 7:30 pm Central (8:30 pm Eastern, 6:30 pm Mountain, 5:30 pm Pacific). A link to a recording will be made available for 7 days following each event for registrants who are not able to attend on the date/time of the seminar.
Participants in each event will be entered into a drawing for gift cards. The Great Expectations Multiplied initiative is partially funded through a grant from the Prolacta Bioscience Foundation.

Upcoming Zoom Connects
Wed., Sept. 10 – Multiples and Identity Development Through the Lifespan
Multiples navigate a delicate balance between their shared bond and their individual paths throughout their lives. During this Zoom, Dr. Joan Friedman, twin expert, author, and an identical twin and the mother of five, including fraternal twin sons, will explore the joys and challenges of the multiple bond and share ways you can help your multiples make the most of this unique relationship.
Tues., Oct. 7 – Club Chat with the President
Is your club struggling to grow its membership? Are you discouraged when only one or two members show up for an activity? The challenges are out there. Let’s meetup at our October Zoom Connect for a Club Chat with the President. We’ll share the challenges and hear how clubs are climbing through — finding ways to adapt, trying out new ideas to grow members and volunteers.
Registration begins about four weeks before each event, and Zooms begin at 7:30 pm Central (8:30 pm Eastern, 6:30 pm Mountain, 5:30 pm Pacific)
