A bit of news to keep you in the know about things happening with Multiples of America. Be sure to check out the quiz at the bottom for your chance to win a gift card!
A Winner!
92 members emailed their answers to the December quiz. A perfect score is not the aim; everyone who joins in the fun is entered into the drawing. The completed jokes from the December quiz are:
My wife just gave birth to a set of identical twins. She named the first one Pete. The second one was named Repeat.
If I ever had identical twin daughters, I’d name the first one Kate. And the second one Duplikate.
I failed my calculus exam because I was seated between two identical twins. It was hard to differentiate between them.
What’s a twin’s favorite bird? A pair-rot
What do triplets need? More womb
Winner of the gift card drawing was Marie Piccola, Northern Kentucky Mothers of Multiples (KY). Find the January quiz at the end of this email. Just click on the link and you’ll be able to answer quickly and easily on the pre-filled form!
Board News
The board is working with our volunteers to deliver the services and benefits you enjoy from year to year and to develop new initiatives focused on support and connection. Here’s a few of our latest moves:
What’s the total?
Our Stay Connected and end of year giving campaigns raised over $3,500! Plus, our anonymous donor matched every dollar donated up to our $3,000 goal. A special thanks to all our donors, including several associates at the Scott Miracle Gro plant in Temecula, CA who gave as a part of their donation days campaign.
Seeking Scholarship Applications
The February 1, 2024 deadline to apply for the Marge Ainsworth Scholarship is only a few days away. You must have been a member of your local club for at least the last three years (and that club is a member club of Multiples of America) for you, your spouse or multiples to apply. Read more about the eligibility requirements and download the application form at: https://multiplesofamerica.org/ainsworth-scholarship/ Questions? Email: scholarship@multiplesofAmerica.org
Have You Shared Your Multitale?
This term we’ve been asking members to join in a “MULTItale” initiative. We want to share our stories about parenting multiples and how the connection to a local club and our national organization helps nourish our parenting journey and our lives. Our multiples community is filled with wonderful people and wonderful stories; have you shared your story with us? All it takes is a few sentences or a short paragraph. Email your MULTItale to: president@multiplesofamerica.org
Multiple Connections
Looking for some information to share with new moms? Need a laugh? Ready for some inspiration? It’s all there in the latest issue of Multiple Connections, and it’s packaged together in a new one-click-gets-all design. Hope you received a copy in your inbox around January 16. If not, let us know and check out the issue at: https://multiplesofamerica.org/clubconnections
Please remember this information is for members of clubs for whom dues have been paid at the national level only. It must be kept secure and not published online in newsletters, news groups (Yahoo, Facebook, Big Tent, etc.), club websites, or any other print media that is not accessed only by members or secured by a password.
Local Clubs Ringing in the New Year
Fairfax County Mothers of Multiples (VA) helped members get going on their New Year’s resolutions with a January meeting, Squats, and Massages. They exercised with a fitness instructor and also enjoyed some neck and back massages.
Huntsville Area Mothers of Multiples (AL) mixed a salad supper with a bracelet bar for their January get-together. Each member got to create her own bracelet with a gemstone tied to a meaning, such as intuition, grounding, tranquility, radiance, confidence, etc.…a great way to remember those New Year’s resolutions!
