They say April showers bring May flowers. It’s probably a good month to share more about the committees that work under the direction of our Advisor because they definitely help our organization flower and grow.
The Nominating Committee works to develop a slate of officers for each new term and connects members with the other volunteer opportunities within our organization. They also share stories about how volunteering has helped bring learning, support, and fun into the lives of our members. Look for their articles in issues of Multiple Connections. The committee is now in the process of recruiting volunteers for our upcoming term. Submit an application online at: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/MOA-NW2022
The Marge Ainsworth Scholarship Fund Committee oversees our annual scholarship program. They publicize the program, solicit applications, and make decisions based on pre-determined criteria. Two scholarship categories are available: one for multiples and one for parents of multiples. Find out more about our Scholarship Fund online in the Members Only section of the website: https://multiplesofamerica.org/wp-content/uploads/2015/07/Eligibility-Requirements-2016-updated.pdf
The EDGE Endowment Committee raises awareness about our organization’s endowment fund and creates opportunities for members and other donors to invest in the fund. The committee also administers our organization’s Special Fund grant. A grant competition is currently underway. The grant offers funds for new or expanded projects that are created or directed by member clubs. Proposals for up to $500. can be submitted through May 31. Look of more info, grant writing tips, and a grant application in the Members Only section of the website (under EDGE Fund) https://multiplesofamerica.org/specialfundgrant/
