Come for the Luxury
Our convention venue, The Brown Hotel is a blend of old-world elegance and present-day comforts. Located in downtown Louisville, KY, the hotel features stunning architectural touches around every corner and a special rooftop event space. Hotel rooms are sizeable, with plush pillow-top mattresses, free Wi-Fi, in-room safes and complimentary refrigerators (upon request).
Come for the Fun
A visit to Louisville, Kentucky’s largest city, brings surprises around every corner. The Kentucky Derby Museum offers a chance to step into the excitement of “the run for the roses.” Baseball fans can swing for the fences as they learn about the making of the Louisville Slugger. Visitors to The Ali Center learn to understand the power of a “red bike moment.” We’ve even scheduled an optional group riverboat tour on “The Belle of Louisville” for Thursday evening. Come for the Networking
We’ve scheduled in multiple opportunities for attendees to gather, share ideas and brainstorm solutions. Create connections that you can take home and use all year round. For a start, check the schedule in the convention booklet for Friday morning gatherings, speed networking at the Saturday luncheon, and special times each day in our NEW hospitality room!
Come for the Learning
An array of Friday afternoon workshops bring opportunities for learning ways to strengthen your leadership skills, walk your club through challenging times, empower career pathways, revive yourself through sound healing and more. Our keynote speaker also comes ready to offer you both inspiration and laughter for your life and parenting journey. Check the convention booklet to find out more.
Come for the Friendships
Whether this is your first or 30th convention, you’ll find a friend (or two or three). Perhaps you’ll find some fellow parents heading to The Big Four Bridge or 4th Street Live. Maybe you’ll chat with club members during the Thursday night tour. Or you’ll decide to dance the night away at the Saturday night Derby party. Whatever your plans, you’ll connect with friends old and new from across the country.
Come for the Shopping
Sure, there’s shopping all around Louisville, but you’ll find the best selection of multiple-specific items at our own MOMs Mall on Friday evening. Raffles in the hospitality room throughout convention and Timeless Treasures silent auctions also offer a great way to pair some fun with supporting the organization, and at least the chance for some great mementos to take back home! Come for the Business
Above all, we gather to do the business of our organization. We review the work of the past term, elect new officers for our board of directors, consider bylaw amendments and our budget, and share how we can move our mission forward.
