Board News
The board works with our volunteers to deliver the services and benefits you enjoy from year to year and to develop new initiatives focused on support and connection. Here’s a few of our latest moves:
“15 Minutes of YOU Time” Snapshot Challenge
There’s still time for you to join in our snapshot challenge. It’s part of our celebration of April as Multiple Birth Awareness Month. This month we’ve focused on the theme: It’s a Balancing Act: Mental Wellbeing for Parents of Multiples. So join the challenge to share your tranquility. Take a picture of you or your club doing something to boost your mental wellbeing: reading a book, taking a walk, chatting with a friend. Post it on our Multiple of America Members Only Facebook page. As an added plus, everyone who posts will be entered into a drawing to win a gift card!
Three Mailings
Your club contacts (most often the President and National Representative) received three important mailings in the past few weeks: Credential Mailing, Election Mailing, and Membership Renewal Mailing. Check with your club representatives for more details or review the mailings online in the Members Only section.

Check out April Mailing II – Election Mailing to find out more about each of the candidates. The mailing also details the bylaw amendment proposed by the board of directors and 2025-2026 proposed budget.
DON’T MISS THIS: The election mailing also has the link you can use to submit an application to be a National Worker volunteer for the 2025-2026 term, or you can go directly to the application here. Boost the power of Multiples of America. Share your skills and expertise with parents nationwide. Volunteer to be a part of our team. We need YOU! Deadline is June 15.
Great Expectations – Mastering Multiples’ Behavior
Do your multiples push boundaries? Are they constantly fighting? struggling to share? Ready for some tips on how to help your young multiples work through challenges independently and collaboratively? Then, we’ve got a seminar for you!
The fourth seminar in our “Great Expectations” series is focused on Mastering Multiples’ Behavior. We’ll be looking at the focus years of early parenting through the toddler years with Smadar Zmirin, twin specialist. It’s all happening Tues., May 6, 7:30 p.m. Central (8:30 Eastern, 6:30 Mountain, 5:30 Pacific) Sign up now.
Birth Weight Research Study
Do you remember how much each of your multiples weighed when they were born? Multiples of America needs that information. Our Research and Membership Development department is conducting a Birth Weight Study. The purpose of the study is to gather birth weight data for multiples and compare the results with our previous surveys from 1985 and 2005. Your participation will help us track trends, identify changes, and better understand the unique experiences of multiple birth families over time.
It only takes a few minutes to share your info and be part of this important research effort! Take the survey now.
Does Your Club Have a Dream?
The EDGE (endowment) Committee is sponsoring a grant competition. In the past, they’ve overseen the Special Fund grant competition. This round is the same, yet different.
What’s the same? Clubs are encouraged to dream of a project, up to $500 in value, and submit an application to the EDGE Committee to fund that dream.
What’s different? This grant round is funded through our Multiples of America EDGE Endowment, instead of a special fund.
It’s a double round of exciting news — to be able to offer the opportunity to clubs, and to have the grant competition funded through our own EDGE Endowment Fund! Applications are due by May 31. Find more details in the attached flyer or online in the Members Only section.
Timeless Treasures Gallery
So many talents within our midst. Parents of multiples are busy painting, creating jewelry, card making, building, quilting, and more. Many have offered to share their creations with us at convention — for viewing and for a silent auction (proceeds go toward convention expenses). If you would like to donate an item (or two), or have something you’ve purchased that would fit into the gallery or one of our convention raffles, contact Events Vice President, Kim Simonich, at events@multiplesofamerica.org.
If you’d like to make a small donation, but aren’t sure what we need, check out our Amazon wish list: https://www.amazon.com/hz/wishlist/ls/HKFI2GQR75W3/ref=nav_wishlist_lists_1
Member of the Year
We are once again looking for your club’s “Member of the Year.” This is a special honor to recognize the efforts of one member of your club who goes above and beyond. Each club selects its own “Member of the Year.” All honorees will be announced and celebrated at our annual convention. (Convention attendance is not required to receive the award.) Look for information on how to submit your club’s choice in the April Mailing III (the dues renewal mailing), or submit your nomination here.
Invite2Connect
Invite2Connect is a two-fold outreach project aimed at connecting with parents with newborn multiples through hospitals, partner organizations, and your local clubs. Multiples of America will provide postcards your club can distribute to help connect those parents with your club. Find out more about this way to provide outreach and grow your club.
Club Helpline
Can finding a balance bring back the fairytale? The latest issue of Club Helpline shares tips that can help! There are also articles about understanding our organization’s endowment and on why recordkeeping matters for clubs. Check out the issue in the Members Only section of our website.
Local Clubs Spreading Cheer
Jersey Shore Mothers of Multiples (NJ) packed up boxes of birthday supplies for foster families. They even took pictures of the members joining in the club charity and posted them online for our “15 Minutes of You Time” social media challenge for April!
Desert Bloom Multiples (AZ) gathered for a spring party, complete with water games, activities and a special appearance from the Fire Department!
Plano Area Mothers of Multiples (TX) held a 30th anniversary family reunion, featuring games, crafts, a fried chicken dinner and cupcakes! All present and past members were invited. Congrats to Plano Area MOMs on reaching such a wonderful milestone!
